Tri-City Medical Response System

TRIMRS Goals and Activities
 

The Tri-Cities Medical Response System serves as a vehicle to encourage, enhance and develop collaborative opportunities that allow entities to work more effectively together toward common goals.  The goals and activities below have been established by the TRIMRS Steering Committee.

 
TRIMRS Goals:
 
To identify the available resources and planning efforts that already exist. 
 
To facilitate communication and cooperation among entities and bring about a more organized response to an emergency situation.
 
To provide a mechanism for collaborative planning and analysis of existing plans throughout the service area.
 
To act as a catalyst for bringing together a mechanism for testing the total capabilities of the area and for providing communication and evaluation of the capability to respond to an emergency.
 
   
TRIMRS Activities:
 
Provide assistance in the development of protocols for handling surge capacity at local hospitals.
 
Provide assistance in the development of protocols for pharmaceutical resource sharing at local hospitals.
 
Develop and sponsor the Central Nebraska Medical Reserve Corps to serve our area.
 
Provide training and education to emergency providers in the use of protective equipment, decontamination, pesticide educaton and disaster preparedness.
 
Develop tabletop and full scale exercises.
 
Provide funding for augmenting and enhancing communications (satellite phones and ham radios).
 
Identify and develop collaborative opportunities between entities. 
 
Collaborate with other Medical Response Systems across Nebraska.
