Rural Region One Medical Response System (RROMRS)
 
RROMRS is located in northeast & northcentral Nebraska and serves a primarily rural area that has a population of approximately  people spread over a  square mile area.  RROMRS serves the following 22 counties:  
Antelope, Boone, Boyd, Brown, Burt, Cedar, Cherry, Colfax, Cuming, Dakota, Dixon, Holt, Keya Paha, Knox, Madison, Nance, Pierce, Platte, Rock, Stanton, Thurston, and Wayne.
 
 
Leadership
 
Entities within the northeast & northcentral Nebraska area that provide leadership and direction for RROMRS include hospitals, public health departments, emergency management, city government representatives and not-for-profit agencies.  A complete list  of members can be found under "RROMRS Members".

 
RROMRS Mission Statement

Create and maintain a system for responding to public health emergencies by enhancing existing local planning efforts for resources, expertise, communication and personnel, in order to increase the capabilities to manage a large number of casualties and/or disruption of services


Goals include:

(A)To identify the available resources and planning efforts that already exist

(B)To facilitate communication and cooperation among the various entities and resources to bring about a more organized and effective response to an emergency situation, whether natural or Bioterrorism-based

(C)To provide a mechanism for collaborative planning and analysis of existing plans throughout the service area

(D)To act as a catalyst for bringing together a mechanism for testing the total capabilities of the area and for providing ongoing communication and evaluation of the capability to respond to an emergency
