South East Medical Response System

The southeast region is one of seven Medical Response Systems identified in Nebraska. The Southeast Nebraska Medical System [SEMRS] and the Lincoln Metropolitan Medical Response System [LMMRS] encompass the same region and have complimentary roles. SEMRS focuses on the needs of Southeast Nebraska with Lancaster as a resource hub. LMMRS focuses on the needs of Lancaster County with the support of the surrounding Southeast Nebraska area. The Southeast Nebraska region consists of 16 counties, with 20 hospitals in 5 public health districts. Of these five public health districts, four are totally contained within the region. Only one county from the fourth district (Cass) is included in the Southeast Nebraska area.
