A video of the 2008 MRC deployment training course and exercise in Bethesda, MD has been posted to the federal MRC website at http://www.medicalreservecorps.gov/MRCDeployment/Fall2008TrainingVideo. This first deployment training allowed approximately 20 MRC leaders and volunteers from across the country to learn and gain experience alongside fellow Federal, State and Local responders.  The training included disaster preparedness and response-relaed lectures and hands-on activities facilitated by experts from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and member sof hte Office of the U.S. Surgeon General.  The course culminated with attendees participating in a large-scale mass casualty exercise on the grounds of the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD.  Members of Nebraska Medical Reserve Corps units were chosen to attend and Kathy Bowman of the Central Nebraska MRC is shown in the video!  Great job, Kathy!
