WCMRS is the sixth Medical Response System to be implemented by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services under a federally funded grant program.  The purpose of the Medical Response System is to develop a basic Medical Response System (MRS) Plan for managing the human health consequences of a bioterrorism event, terrorist incident involving the use of weapons of mass destruction (i.e. a nuclear, radiological, biological and/or chemical device capable of creating mass casualties), natural disaster, or other public health emergency in our sixteen county region.

The WCMRS is committed to improving the region’s response to a disaster.
